My first BBC commission: Titanic, condensed
Earlier this year I scripted a short animated film for BBC Online that tells the story of the Titanic, from shipyard to seabed.
It was commissioned by information design guru and celebrated raconteur Max Gadney, who is fond of giving me briefs like, "Tell them everything they need to know about the Titanic. In less than five minutes. And it mustn't feel rushed."
You can see for yourself how it turned out - the film is now online here, and well worth a look. For one thing, it’s over three hours shorter than the James Cameron film, and contains almost the same number of facts.
